      Set during the Nazi occupation of Poland, the film follows Michał, a man who witnesses the brutal murder of his family and is thrust into a nightmarish reality of war, disease, and survival. As he becomes involved in a laboratory producing lice to create typhus vaccines, his life intertwines with another woman who resembles his lost wife, blurring the boundaries between past and present. The narrative unfolds as a feverish exploration of trauma, identity, and the psychological disintegration caused by violence.
