Rembrandt, Titus, the painter's son 

      Rembrandt created approaching one hundred self-portraits. They were created by the artist looking at himself in a mirror, and the paintings and drawings therefore reverse his actual features. In this late work, the deep-set eyes that bore into the viewer’s eyes express the wisdom gained from his life experiences.
