Henryk Hektor Siemiradzki - Girls on the terrace at the Bust of Homer, 1890

The painting depicts two young women enjoying a peaceful moment on a sunlit terrace overlooking a Mediterranean landscape. One gathers flowers while the other stands beside the balustrade. A classical bust of Homer, surrounded by lush vegetation, evokes the cultural heritage of ancient Greece. Warm colours, delicate details and luminous light create an atmosphere of serenity and elegance. The painting harmoniously combines feminine grace, natural beauty and classical inspiration.
