Mes petites amoureuses, 1974, dir. Jean Eustache

In a quiet village near Bordeaux, Daniel lives a carefree childhood under the care of his grandmother until his mother calls him to join her in Narbonne. Pulled out of school, he begins working as an apprentice in a moped repair shop and comes into contact with older boys who introduce him to the world of girls and male bravado. As his rural innocence fades, Daniel grapples with belonging, identity, and the uneasy transition from boyhood to adolescence.
