Nirvana - Jesus Doesn't Want Me For A Sunbeam

The old hymn "Jesus wants me for a sunbeam" is a children’s song to make children know they are loved. "Jesus wants me for a sunbeam, To shine for Him each day; In ev'ry way try to please Him, at home, at school, at play." The original of the song was changed by the Vaselines to criticise religion and say the opposite. Here, I think it’s a way to say (as Dylan did in the past) that he (Kurt Cobain) is not supposed to be the prophet of a generation.
